Editorial Standards and Funding Content Methodology

Last updated: September 4, 2026

Trovo Capital publishes educational business-funding and capital strategy content. It is not an approval forecast, an offer of credit, or individualized legal, tax, or financial advice.

Source and date standards

Articles distinguish Trovo original analysis from summaries of outside reporting. Where an article relies on a third party, we identify and link the primary or most authoritative available source. Publication and material revision dates appear with the article so readers can judge whether guidance is current.

Funding ranges, rates, and timing

Dollar ranges, score bands, introductory APR periods, inquiry discussions, and timing examples are planning references, not rules or guarantees. Outcomes vary by the complete credit file, business profile, application sequence, market conditions, and the issuer's current underwriting. Issuers alone control approvals, limits, rates, fees, and account terms.

A page that presents an internal aggregate or outcome rate must identify its observation period, sample size, population, and important exclusions. If those details are not available, the figure must be labeled as an illustration or removed.

Review and publication controls

  • Each article must identify its author or editorial owner.
  • External claims must carry a valid, story-level source.
  • Categorical approval claims are not permitted. Exceptions and issuer discretion must remain clear.
  • High-risk credit, legal, tax, or compliance guidance requires review by an appropriately qualified professional before it is presented as professional guidance.
  • Material corrections update the article and its revision date.

Organizational byline and automation

Articles use the Trovo Capital Editorial Team organizational byline unless a named person has personally authored or reviewed the work and has approved the attribution. This prevents a page from implying individual authorship that did not occur.

Automated research and drafting tools may assist editorial production. Their output is not accepted as evidence. External factual claims must resolve to a source a reader can inspect, and Trovo Capital remains responsible for the published page and its corrections.

Independence and compensation

Trovo may link to outside providers. Any compensated or affiliate relationship must be disclosed near the applicable recommendation. Compensation does not change an issuer's decision or create a guarantee of provider performance.

Corrections log

Material corrections and revisions, newest first. An entry appears here the day it is published on the article, and the article carries the same note.

  1. 0% Intro APR vs. Term Loans: When Each Actually Makes Sense

Clarified fixed versus variable loan payments, early repayment terms, and the costs and transaction limits of introductory-rate cards.

  2. SBA Removes the FICO SBSS Pre-Screen for 7(a) Small Loans

Added the underwriting requirements that replaced the SBSS prescreen (1.10 to 1 debt service coverage, two months of bank statements with their stated exceptions, lender credit analysis) and made SBA Supplemental Notice 5000-876777 the primary source. That notice replaced the SOP text in Notice 5000-875701 and governs every 7(a) Small loan approved on or after March 1, 2026. The ETRAN documentation remains cited as a secondary source.

  3. Trovo Capital Insights

Rebuilt the Insights library for index recovery. 18 short news briefs that no longer met the sourcing and depth standard were retired and permanently redirected to the closest surviving article.

  4. Trovo Capital Insights

Revised all 32 retained articles: expanded each to a full analysis with section structure, decision tables, primary-source citations, and complete publication metadata. Revision dates on the articles reflect this change.
