The work and the expectation.
Trovo Capital is adding an experienced Account Executive to close prequalified funding conversations with business owners. Every conversation happens over the phone.
We are looking for a proven closer who learns quickly, uses technology confidently, follows through consistently, and knows how to earn trust without overselling. This is not an entry-level sales role, and it is not a cold-prospecting position.
Your focus
Your primary responsibility is closing and follow-up. There is no cold calling. Our team handles prospecting and prequalification, then either transfers a prospect to you live or books the appointment directly on your calendar. You will not be expected to purchase lists, build a cold database, or source your own pipeline.
The entire sales process runs over the phone. There are no video meetings. Most opportunities are built to close on the first call, and those calls typically run 30 to 45 minutes.
You will work scheduled conversations across U.S. time zones. Exact working hours and coverage expectations will be discussed during the interview process.
Clear advice for important capital decisions.
Trovo Capital is an independent capital strategy and business consulting firm. We help business owners understand their funding options, prepare for a structured funding process, and make better capital decisions.
We are not a lender, loan broker, or credit repair company, and we do not promise approvals. Our approach is direct, educational, and centered on helping clients make informed decisions.
The responsibilities that define this role.
- Take live transfers and scheduled phone consultations with prequalified inbound and re-engaged prospects.
- Understand each prospect's business goals, urgency, and readiness, then determine whether there is a genuine fit.
- Explain our service, fees, process, tradeoffs, and next steps in plain language.
- Work each qualified opportunity toward a decision on the first call whenever the prospect is ready.
- Address questions and objections directly, without pressuring poor-fit prospects.
- Own disciplined follow-up with prospects already in our pipeline.
- Maintain accurate stages, notes, next steps, and forecasts in Zoho CRM.
- Move signed clients into onboarding with a complete, thoughtful handoff.
- Handle confidential business and financial information with care.
Experience, judgment, and the ability to learn.
- A demonstrated record of meeting or exceeding sales goals in a consultative phone closing role.
- The ability to discuss your performance in context, including target attainment, close rate, typical deal size, and sales cycle.
- Comfort running a complete sales conversation by phone, including one-call closes with owners you have not spoken to before.
- A fast learner who can absorb detailed financial, product, and process information.
- Strong comfort with CRM systems, dialers, digital agreements, scheduling tools, and new technology.
- A calm, direct communication style that builds trust without overselling.
- The discipline to manage a remote pipeline and follow through without constant supervision.
- U.S.-based and comfortable serving prospects across multiple U.S. time zones.
Experience in business funding, financial services, insurance, or another trust-heavy sale is helpful, but it is not required. Proven closing ability, judgment, and learning speed matter more than direct industry experience.
Strong performance, measured clearly.
You develop a consistent, repeatable close rate. Your forecasts are dependable, your CRM is current, prospects understand what they are agreeing to, and onboarding receives complete files.
You learn quickly, respond well to coaching, and help improve the sales process as the team grows.
Compensation and performance.
Expected annual earnings: $60,000 to $150,000+, with uncapped commission and additional performance bonuses. Commission is tiered, so as your monthly generated revenue increases, your commission rate increases with it.
Actual earnings vary based on individual performance and collected revenue. The complete compensation plan, payment timing, and performance expectations will be reviewed early in the interview process, before either side is asked to make a commitment.
